CES 2012 – Getting more Powerful with Green Energy

As a frequent visitor of the CES show, a wildly popular consumer electronics show that has been the showcase for all things new and exciting for gadget freaks, for tech savvy cool cats, for those who want to see the latest trends in high technology applications – this year was different as the focus was on green energy, energy efficiency, and generation.  One company that led the way was UL, a certification and validation services company that promoted the importance of LEDs, energy generation and efficiency in the smart home grid.  It proved a powerful combination for many show attendees as they got a glimpse of how the home of the future will become smarter, more energy focused on efficiency, and from personal power-generators to new solar technology, household appliances that act as virtual assistants, and homes that adapt their ecosystem to resident’s needs, to massive municipal energy upgrades and new ways of delivering electricity, CES proved that innovating to meet market demand is a key business strategy.
